Too Busy for my own Good

Happy Sunday everyone!

So, I really thought I was going to blog every single day, but it is hard to find time when it’s the weekend. There is never a dull moment at Belmont University. I have been able to do so many amazing things since coming to school, and every day I’m reminded that I made the right choice in college.

So what have I been doing? Well I’m glad you asked. This weekend has been action packed from: volunteering, movie watching, showcase attending, church going, and adventuring.

To start off my Saturday I woke up at 4:30 in the morning to volunteer at a 5K with some of my sorority sisters. I know what you’re thinking, “4:30? Gross.” But you know, when I actually got up and moving I was thinking…. the exact same thing. Yeah I’m not entirely sure who convinced me that I was a morning person *cough cough Chandler cough* but I honestly had so much fun with my wonderful Thetas. Also, a dude wore a duck costume for most of the morning, so that was awesome! (I’m easily entertained by people in costume)

Later that afternoon my band teacher hosted all the band members to his home for a party, which was so nice! There was incredible food and we played football and basketball for most of the afternoon. It was so fun to just play outside, watch football, and eat a home-cooked meal (the comforts of home that I miss.)

Saturday ended with the Urban/Pop Showcase hosted and run by Belmont students. Many people were upset by the fact that the music wasn’t loud enough, but all in all the show was really well done. I’m constantly amazed by the talent at this school. We know how to put on a show.

This morning was spent at church with my friends and a lovely meal off campus. No Sunday is complete, though, without some Colts football. Sunday is totally my favorite day of the week. There is nothing better than a day that is literally full of Church, Theta, and Colts football. I’m so excited to be spending my next Sunday at home with my friends and family!

Well, that’s all that’s going on with me right now. I’m glad I was able to keep you up to date. My blog won’t always be me just talking about myself. However this weekend was way too fun not to post about it.

Here is the quote I’m leaving with you today:

“The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.”
— The Doctor

Until I blog again,

Allie
